Hi! I’m Maddie. I am a 20 year old aspiring pediatric dentist and student at McMaster's Health Sciences program. 

My interests, activities, and experiences are quite broad and scattered throughout the arts, science, business, and more.

I have been playing piano for over 14 years, and have completed up to my grade 9 RCM exam. Music has always been a hobby of mine - I’ve dabbled in recorder, trombone, cello, harp, and currently vocals! 

Tutoring has been a significant component of my life as well; I have been working with children to improve their reading and to teach piano for the past 9 years. I also tutor at a high school level for chemistry, math, and English (ESL).

At university, I am part of a variety of organizations, including a charity musical production, writing outreach program for local elementary schools, and public health association. In my spare time, I love lettering and reading thrillers!

Shine evolved from discovering my love for tutoring during my first job as a tutor 9 years ago. Since then, I have worked with kids of all ages, learning styles, and personalities, and I’ve loved every second of it.
